W Are Committed. At Moda we are moving towards a better future, putting sustainability at out core. We believe in creating premium footwear whilst reducing our environmental impact.

MANIFESTO We have been crafting beautiful shoes for over 45 years and are now more aware than ever of the impact on our planet. This is why we have started designing our footwear in a more sustainable way, supporting our planet and community. At Moda in Pelle we are committed to reducing waste, recycling, and removing unnecessary energy consumption on our day-to-day working life. We've broken down our sustainability plans into a number of key areas.

PEOPLE - As a family run business it's important for us to give back to the community. This is why in 2018 we chose to partner with Pink Ribbon Foundation. This charity supports those affected by breast cancer and a number of important research partnerships. The charity really resonates with us here at Moda, and with the support of our customers we're proud to share that we have been able to raise tens of thousands, helping to make a real difference in people's lives.

PRODUCT - At the forefront of us crafting beautiful shoes is our ability to makke them in the most environmentally way possible. This is why we now have a team specifically looking at for new materials and innovations, closely looking at all components used within and around our footwear, sourcing sustainable alternatives, whilst keeping the iconic Moda quality and design at our core. Our aim is to be an official member of the Leather Working Group who regulate tanneries and assess their envrionmental compliance, meaning all of our leather is guaranteed to be responsibly sourced. We are far from fast fashion and want our shoes to last as long as possible. This is whjy we have partnered with Craggs, the shoe specialists. They offer a new lease of life to worn pairs, offering bespoke quality repairs, prolonging the life of your well loved shoes.

PLANET - We have introduced a number of recycling schemes at both our head office and stores, with the aim of reducing waste. But we still wanted to do more! This is why we partnered with Upcycle Labs team who provide upcycling services. Recycling old shoes into new decorative products, store fittings and more; ensuring samples avoid going to landfill.

At Moda we recognise that we have a duty to act responsibly and to focus on doing the right thing for both people and the planet, the introduction of our sustainability strategy reflects its significance.
