Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

I love these very soft leather comfortable and versatile shoes. I would recommend that you go up a size. I normally take a size 5/UK. I ordered a 6/UK and they fit perfectly.

I like the shoe but unfortunately, the creator of the design did not think that the various decorative stitches can affect some feet and the size will not fit.
Therefore this should be accommodated by different sizing of those shoes.

Shoes came with good delivery time, can’t fault delivery service, but dissatisfied with the actual shoes, left foot ok but right foot seems to be different width at front which actually takes away from the proper look of shoe, I wore these out for an hour and actually asked my friend to fit them on and she thought exactly the same as myself!
As I have worn shoes, it’s not possible to return them. Disappointed to say the least, just under the illusion they are of substandard quality. Are sale shoes seconds?
I don’t think I will be purchasing mode in pelle shoes online again. No free returns is a put off also. I have purchased mode in pelle a number of times instore before and havnt had any complaints. Disappointed to say the least, not a bargain when substandard quality.

Although these are beautiful shoes to look at, and the softest leather and perfect heel for me, sadly they fall down on design. I ordered my usual size (6) and the fit is perfect. However, the design fault is that the front of the shoe is just too low to hold your foot in the shoe, and believe me I do not have a narrow foot at all, in fact quite wide at E fitting, so isnt't that they're too big. I would therefore put these shoes as quite wide at the back and narrow at the front, which is frankly weird! They slip up at the back, badly even with 2 lots of heel grips on the backs and shoe inserts to hold my foot more securely. The white laces are in fact for show only and cannot be tied tighter, if they did, this would have meant I could tie them tighter. AS a shoe to look at they're really fab, just not fit to walk in. I'm so annoyed as I paid £80 for them and can only wear them indoors when I'd been expecting to wear them for walking and even going on our boat. Therefore I can only give them 2 stars and hope this will at least save others the great expense of buying them and finding this out.
