Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

We measure our boot heights (in centimetres) from the back of the boot, from the top of the heel all the way up.

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

usually love moda in pelle - but, ,sorry, not these! Quite drab looking and leather felt hard and uncomfortable. Looked more like a pair of slippers ! Further Moda recommend returning same by tracked mail at considerable cost - over £7. Don't think Ill be buying any more direct!

I love these shoes. I only wish Moda in Pelle did them in half sizes. I recently ordered a different pair of loafers in a size 4. I take a 4.5 and, as they were described as wide fit, I thought I would be able to wear a 4 but they were too tight. I am currently waiting for a replacement in a size 5. Back to the Emmas Black Alacantara - I ordered them in a size 5 and they are slightly too big - a 4 1/2 would be perfect. However, I like these so much that I will buy heel grips to insert in the shoes so that I can wear them without them slipping off. I do not have a Moda in Pelle shop near me where I can go in and try them on so have to rely on trying them when they arrive. If the other replacement pair of shoes I am waiting for are also too big I will do the same as, again, they are beautiful shoes but I probably won't be buying any more from Moda in Pelle as I now know that, because they don't do half sizes, the shoes will either be too big or too small. Such a shame

I ordered this shoe in the Sale as I had previously bought five other shoes from Moda in Pelle and I really like the style and quality. The Enlie silver/blue snake in a size 5 is the most comfortable shoe I have ever bought as I have a narrow pointed foot and for a ‘sturdy’ shoe it has amazing comfort. The padded arch and heel are an added benefit .... so I hoped Emma’s Black Alcantara would be similar. The padding here is in the heel and the middle of the sole and although I ordered the same size they are too big at the back. As it’s impossible to put in another heel grip or an insole I have found a half sole to place at the foot and hope this rectifies the problem. As these were greatly discounted I decided to keep them as returning them and paying postage puts me off. They tiny stones catch the light and for the right foot these would be ideal.

Lovely shoes, but too long for my foot. I take size 4.5 normally; the Moda website advised size 5. Unfortunately, there is not enough fabric on top of my foot to stop it from slipping out.

I purchased these for someone else, the feedback I got was these are very good quality.

However the delivery of them left a lot to be desired, the courier could not be bothered to read our house numbers and delivered to our downstairs neighbour, despite the fact we were in at the time of delivery!
