Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

We measure our boot heights (in centimetres) from the back of the boot, from the top of the heel all the way up.

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

The trainers are lovely but more bronze than pewter (so more brown than grey) so they weren't suitable. Very disappointing really. Also the zip is ornamental rather than functional so you'll still need to tie them with laces, which seems rather pointless - I wanted zip up trainers. I returned them but waited two weeks and then had to chase MiP for the refund! All a bit frustrating really, which is a shame as the quality of the shoes is very good.

I would have liked to keep them but no point as once again they are too big. I can't take a smaller size as they don't go below 3. I bought one pair of shoes which I love and which fit but the next 2 pairs were too big and I am still waiting for acknowledgement of return.
So on the whole I am disappointed.

I like the look of these and they are a great colour. However, the bit at the top of the back of the shoe broke on one shoe as soon as I tried to put them on. they also rub my baby toe in the right shoe, so may be worth ordering up a size.

I love all my shoes from Moda in Pelle. I like comfort but I also like to feel a sense of joy when I look at my footwear. Always something quirky in style and at super competitive prices.
I chose these to replace a pair I had worn out. The zip fastening is a boon at airport security.

These were lovely, however, they are a narrow fit and sadly I had to send them back. Would be really helpful if the description stated whether the fit was a standard/narrow/wide fit, especially when you have to pay to return items. I am a a slightly wider fit and these would not be suitable for anyone that needs a little more room in the width. I would recommend for anyone with a narrow foot.

Love these cheeky little sneakers. I have lots but wanted leather so I could wear in all weathers.
Really comfy and stylish and the zip opening makes them way easier to put on than using the laces.
Need them to soften a bit bit so far just loving them!

I love these shoes, though the leather is not as buttery soft on the pewter as the black version. I also find them a little big. The colour is less pewter and more a metallic pinky-purple. I feel they're great value at the sale price and hope they are as comfortable as my previous black pair.

Absolutely adore these. Bought in a 5 and the length was OK but they were a bit narrow but I loved them so much I immediately went to buy them in white. There were no 5s left in stock so thought I’d order the white in a 6 as I’m between sizes. 6 did seem a bit big at first but once laced they were fine and I wore them all day - they were bliss. Tried the 5 on again and realised they were far too narrow, so to be sensible am sending back the 5. Luckily the pewter in 6 was still in stock so I've ordered. so stylish!

Fab boots got a bargain in sale the boots fit perfect as I knew they would as I have a few pairs really pleased could I just say through no fault of mode pele there was a really bad mix up with delivery so I contacted customer service and spoke to Beth she has been brilliant people get cross with customer service but Beth was wonderful very kind and .made sure she kept in touch with me until I got my boots she deserves a medal thank u arie
