Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

These boots are smart and really comfy, and the soft lining feels lovely and warm. The only minor negatives are that they are a little baggier around the ankles than I'd like and the zips are stiff (but will ease with wear), but I can cope with that as I know I'll get a lot of wear out of them!

First of all, very quick delivery! I bought these boots as I wanted something flat but a bit stylish - something that would look good with leggings, jeans or tights and skirt / dress. I've only had them on a couple of times so far but they are quite comfy (and will only get better with a bit of wearing in). I'm a size 10 and have size 3 feet and I have difficulty getting boots to fit my calves as there appears to be an assumption that if you're a small size then you must have twiglets for legs. Well I have a good strong set of legs and calves (like my granny had) and the fact that these boots have the elastic down the back and a bit on the side means that they fit well and I can get them zipped up no problem. I almost bought very similar looking boots from Dune but they didn't have any elastic and some of the reviews said they were a very slim fit so I abandoned that idea and continued with my search until I found these. Hopefully they will get more and more comfy with a bit of wear as I'm all for comfort!

I had been looking at these for a while - my hesitation was primarily because I find it so difficult shopping for knee high boots, especially online where you cannot try them before committing to the purchase. Like many of my slim-legged brethren, they tend to always be too wide and gape at the top. In the end, after an old pair of boots finally gave up the ghost on me, I thought "to hell with it - let's do it!" and made the purchase! So glad I did! The boots look better in reality than online, they fit well, are comfortable and look good! Yes there is a bit of room at the top and a slight gap, but I can live with that. I'm now considering the team colourway! :-)

My only criticism with Moda is that if they offered a prepaid returns service like most other similar online retailers do, they might encourage more people to take the plunge and try because they feel that returning isn't such a big deal when it's already covered in the sale itself. I know I certainly do.
