Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

We measure our boot heights (in centimetres) from the back of the boot, from the top of the heel all the way up.

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

I so love these ankle boots - a cross between a biker and regular boot. Beautifully made, the patent leather has a subtle shine and the metal work an expensive gleam. Size wise, they're accurate, maybe very slightly generous. I already have several pairs of Moda sandals and these more substantial shoes did not disappoint. They come practically packaged with card and tissue paper formed inserts which you can keep and re-use when it's time for your boots to hibernate in the summer!

Very clumpy and hard. Looked cheap, not very pleased with quality. Returned back to Moda.

Also, very surprisingly in a pandemic i realised you have to return the item at your own cost!

Bought these whilst on Black Friday offer and they are very good quality as expected from Moda. It is difficult to find black patent boots which are leather. I am size 4 and bought the size 4. They are a good fit although I haven't worn them outside yet. However, I expect them to be very comfortable.
