Measuring Heel Height

We measure our heel heights (in centimetres) by placing the heel on a flat surface and then measuring from the surface to the top of the heel

Leather Uppers

Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with our range of protector sprays and creams. Conditioning your boots with oil and creams will help the leather resist cracking, flaking, fading or looking tired.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers

As soon as suede shoes have been brought home, they should be sprayed with a protector spray that is designed for suede shoes. Purchase a suede brush and routinely brush the dust and debris from shoes. A good habit to have is brushing down suede shoes immediately after they have been worn.

Heel Tips

Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips as this could alter the construction of the shoe.

Replacing Insoles

The insole of a shoe takes quite a bit of abuse, especially in flat and court shoes which are meant to be worn without socks. If replacing the insole is to help eliminate odors, first check to see if the insole is worn out. If it is not worn out, try sprinkling baking soda in the bottom of the shoe at night and then shaking or vacuuming it out in the morning.

Wet Weather Advice

Never dry wet shoes next to a radiator or any other source of heat: you'll crack the leather. Simply stuff them with newspaper or boot shapers and allow them to dry out naturally. If they are covered in mud, brush off when dry and then polish as normal.

Embellished Uppers

Embellished uppers are often adorned with hot stones or beaded details. Sometimes through wear and tear, these may become loose. Our customer services team can help to offer spare trims to neatly bring any embellishment back to lift.

When these arrived I thought they looked a bit cheap, but I got them on sale and with a discount so I thought I would keep them. They look really nice and I have given two stars as they are very comfy. However, I’ve worn them three times and the black layer on the sole of the shoe has already started peeling and chipping off. It would have been better for the whole sole of the shoe to be white as it’s really obvious against the black that parts have fallen off. Really not very impressed for the price I paid!

Trainers are stylish and comfortable. Good price in the sale, I would not pay the full price as they are expensive for non-leather.
Also there is no MODA hardware or branding externally which there is on the other leather trainers I have.

These trainers are very comfortable and look good however the pair I received were badly finished off (see photos) with part of the filling exposed due to bad stitching and splodges of glue on the leather. I emailed customer services 3 days ago and have yet to receive a response. (It's been new years day and a bank holiday though)

I am normally a 7.5 so order size 8. If the toe style is rounded as I have a long second toe they are uncomfortable. But these shoes are perfect- they are almond shaped. And they are beautiful, comfortable and stylish just like the hiker heeled zipped boots from Moda which I adore too.
