Shoe care tips: to make sure your Moda in Pelle shoes remain as gorgeous as you are….

Alternate Footwear – Alternate footwear to allow the uppers to breathe and to prolong the lifespan of your footwear.

Drying Wet Shoes – No footwear is waterproof unless clearly stated on the label. Frequently spraying your footwear with protector spray can help to guard against water penetration but will not make your footwear waterproof. Under no circumstance should your footwear be left to dry near artificial heat because this can cause the leather to separate from its bonding and may cause irreparable damage to your shoes.

Leather Uppers – Leather uppers will benefit from regular cleaning and protecting with suitable protector sprays. Regular use of shoe creams / polish will further help to protect the shoes and will help to reduce creasing.

Suede / Nubuck Uppers – Treat suede and nubuck footwear with appropriate protector spray each time you wear them, please note that these products cannot offer total protection from staining and water penetration. However a suede brush and suede/nubuck cleaner should remove most stains.

Delicate fabrics & trims – Beads, sequins and glitter fabrics are delicate materials and must be worn with care. These adornments can become dislodged or damaged if worn in conditions where they are rubbed or scuffed.

Heel tips – Heel tips are a replaceable component which should not be allowed to wear down. Replace heel tips on a regular basis to prevent permanent damage to the heels. We do not recommend that you replace plastic heel tips with metal heel tips because it can alter the construction of the shoe.
